Nepal has recently emerged from being a kingdom and is still recovering from a civil war. It has faced massive reduction of its territory which now occupied by India.
Nepal has faced massive interference from the big bully of South Asia–Bharat. I revolt the Maoists of Nepal held out against the oppression.
The Red Maoists also support the Maoists in India–they have been prevented from power despite winning a landslide victory in Nepal. The culprit is the big elephant in the room–Delhi.
What does Delhi thinks of Kathmandu? This is a good question. Let us examine what the intellectual strategists in Delhi think about Nepal. One would imagine that the vitriol against Nepal is only second to he vitriol against Pakistan. Well! Not really sure about that. The vitriol against China and Lanka is equally vociferous. We are producing an excerpt from a position papers from a major thinktank in Bharat.

Here is Pankaj writing about Nepal:
What was Nepal before 1768?
Even when Prithvi Narayan Shah Created Nepal it was only three states (Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur) and this is confessed by the Author in his writing. All this three region is currently the part of Kathmandu City. The second question the author needs to ask himself is
So how did Nepal become the country of 204, 917 sq. km when it was created only by small three states which are currently the part of only one Kathmandu City???????
The Author has written a good manipulated history and good story. But the facts doesn’t change.
Before 1768 there was no Nepal. It was just Bharat with Indraprasth as its capital before Mugals came to Bharat. When Mugals Invaded Some Parts of Bharat and established Delhi Sultanat (renaming Indraprasth), they renamed Bharat as Hindustan. The so called Nepal was part of Bharat and latter Hindustan. When the Mugal sultanat started getting weaker in 17th Century, Some of the ambitious subaders of Mugal sultanate betrayed their master and revolted against their King and created independent states. Prithvi Narayan Shah was one of such Subader. There after he conquered parts of Hindustan and made a country of 204, 917 sq. km from just three small regions.
Latter when the British invaded Hindustan they named Hindustan as India. The concurred the parts of Hindustan that were concurred by Prithvi Narayan Shah. Shah and his heirs could not withstand British and they made a treaty with British to save their King hood. In this treaty they were paying the British lump-some amount every year and in return the British would not conquer Nepal.
My third Question to the Author is:-
If the Author is talking of Nepal before 1816, Why don’t he talk of History before 1768??????
If we go through the history even the so called current Nepal was completely the part of India, Including some parts of China.
Any how this is history and we don’t dwell on Past. India is on the door steps of becoming a Super Power, and no one can stop her. Even India can say that entire Nepal and Pakistan are the part of India and it should be merged in India. But we don’t want this land and we don’t want the people of this land.
People like the author are some who are are not only manipulating the history but also misleading their country men in the name of Nationalism.
I don’t understand what kind of Nationalism is this. Is this a kind of Nationalism in which your people are naked and hungry. Look around to your people in Nepal. A few years back streets of red light area in Mumbai were full of Nepali girls. It is not the fault of India it is the Fault of Nepal that it can not stop its people from selling their girl child to Foreigners. Thanks to Indian Government from taking stern action to stop human trafficking in India. But that doesn’t stop it in Nepal. I am staying in one of the Gulf country and keep traveling to many countries. I recently visited Dubai, Bahrain, Singapore, Hongkong etc and I see the dance bars here are full of Nepali Girls. I went to Deira Dubai, and Hotels are full of Nepali Girls in Prostitution. In 2010 I visted Kathmandu also, the author may have not visited thamel, but I did. 15 year old girls who should be in school sell them self in just 500 NRS. I went to Tirsuli in Rasuwa district north of Kathmandu. I was having a cup of tea outside a tea stall standing next to my car, A man recognizes me as a foreigner and comes to me, asks me if I want a Girl. He said he can provide me a virgin girl just 10 years old. Is this the kind of nationalism the author is talking about.
When I traveled to Nepal I felt a huge anti India sentiment among the people. This anti India sentiment is born because Nepal has now became a puppet of China. The so called peoples war in Nepal was conspired and inspired by china. Both money and material (Weapons) were provided by china. Now Chinese are doing the same in India by providing money and weapons to Maoist in India. People like the author are adding fuel to this anti India sentiment by manipulating History and false propaganda. Recently one fool in Nepal called for a ban on Indian Movies and Indian Vehicles in Nepal. He said Indian Movies are spoiling culture in Nepal. May be he also needs to visit Thamel one evening and Tirsuli one day he will know where the culture of Nepal stands.
India had been very generous to Nepal. India has a population over a billion. Despite of having limited resources for our own population we share it with Nepal. We share every thing From electricity to sugar. we are allowing free entry for Nepali nationals to enter India and work here. Does any other country do this??????
Going against India is not in the Interest of Nepal and its people. Now you might say we have china and Pakistan to support us. But they have their own problems. First their sovereignty is a big question. First East Pakistan was separated from Pakistan and Bangladesh created. We never know what is going to happen in future. May be Baluchistan and Sindh might get separated from Pakistan. When they can not protect them self and are not self sufficient how will they come to Nepal’s help. China might try to suppress the Tibetan uprising. But sooner or later it will get separated. China is already having conflict in south China Sea. Countries like Japan, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia etc are eagerly waiting for India to extend her hand and provide military support to counter China. China can not directly confront with India as the Indian Military now is not the one of 1962 and also because it will evoke global response against China, so it is using Pakistan and Nepal as a Proxy against India.
The Author is totally out of his mind. He is living in a dream world. He doesn’t know the proper history, he doesn’t know the current geopolitical situation and he is talking of Greater Nepal and Nationalism. He is talking about taking the land back from India. May be he should travel to those parts of India and talk to people living there. He should ask them if they want to be a Nepali citizen or Indian citizen. But before he travels to India he needs to travel some part of his own Nepal and ask the same question to people there. Recently I heard one leader of a national political party in Nepal, Saying “His entire region will not take even a week to get separated from Nepal and join India, it’s just the matter of time “when” “. May be the author needs to go the embassy of any western country with a Nepali Passport for getting visa and see how he is treated.
Neither does Indian Government nor does any Indian Citizen care about the fate of Nepal or its people. It is just the Generosity of India that we have kept our borders open and we provide basic essentials to the people of Nepal on humanitarian ground . And in return we get to see the articles from people like the author and Maoist infiltrating in India and killing our people.
Indians are generous and tolerant but not coward. The day we get out of our patience we will for sure take strong actions against those who try to harm our people or our national sovereignty.
Here is the Indian perspective on Nepal. Rajeev Sharma writes about Indo-Nepalese relations in “South Asia’s Rectangular Triangle – Nepal, Bhutan and India”.

“Nepal, a poor advertisement for good neighborliness. Nepal has become a favorite staging post foimportantr enemies of India who use Nepalese territory for flooding India with counterfeit Indian currency notes, illegal arms, drugs and even terrorists. Thanks to the large presence of Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence officials in Kathmandu, Nepal has emerged as an important alternate route for infiltrating well-trained and well-equipped terrorists into India. Elements inimical to India have taken advantage of the fact that the more than 1850-km-long Indo-Nepal border is open and no visa is required for to-and-fro travel. As a result, Nepal has become an important transit route for smuggling fake currency, terrorists and arms and ammunition into India. And unlike Bhutan, Nepal has routinely done precious little to address Indian concerns despite the matter having been taken up by New Delhi with Kathmandu at senior political and official levels. Despite these pinpricks, India has never reversed its open-borders policy with Nepal. The long tradition of free movement of people across the borders — Nepal shares a border of over 1850 Kms with five Indian States, Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand – continues.”
After reading this, Pakistanis should not feel feel honored–when they read the rehtoric against Pakistan. Bharati strategists want to gobble up Nepal, and any sign of resistance shakes them up. If the Maoists cannot take real power in Nepal, there is a real chance that a more bloody resistance may be brewing up in the Himalayan country. Nepal is not Bhutan — and it has proven that it has a backbone. It is a country armed to the teeth and if push came to shove, it can wage guerrilla warfare for decades–

“Much of anti-India activities being staged from the Nepalese soil are known to New Delhi and yet the Indian government has been unable to stem the rot. The reason for Nepal becoming a bug bear for India, rather than being a well-meaning neighbor, is that India’s influence in that country has consistently been on the decline. Not many years ago, India used to be the power in Kathmandu. The US, UK, European Union, the United Nations were nowhere on the Nepalese political radar screen. The influence of China and Pakistan was minimal. But this is no longer so. The influence of China has rapidly increased in Nepal and similar is the case with the US, the EU and the UN – all at the cost of India. Though in terms of influence in Nepal, China is still number two, behind India, but it is a close number two. The way China is going at a breakneck speed in helping Nepal in all areas, particularly road and infrastructure projects, China is set to be the most important foreign influence in Nepal in not too distant future.”
If this is the what they think of Nepal in India–and this is what is published in public–one can imagine what is being said in private!
