All I know is ---its a series of books, and Harry Potter is character written by JK Rowlings. I also watched once HARRY POTTER movie but I lhave no clue why the whole world go so crazy abt this???????

And stil I ve no knowledge abt Harry Potter except the fat guy living next door named HARRY.

Seems like you just hated Harry Potter because 10 million + people liked it, not because you read the book or the author's ( Rowling's) writing style or Harry Potter character himself. I have read all previous 6 series and I just finished first 3 chapters of the 7th. I absolutely love Rowling's style that is well balanced between humor, struggling life of Harry, overall life itself so to say fight between good and evil that we all experience in life. The magical world is itself full of colorful characters that takes us to a new level of thinking and wonder. Try reading few lines and you will like it if you are a good book reader as you claim. By the way, I am really enjoying the "Biography of Dumberdore" right now.

Harry Potter is a great example of a capitalistic society. Just like the IPhone. It's all about the marketing. While hundreds are dying all over the world, why is half of US news hour about the Iphone or Harry Potter?

The marketing agencies spend a fortune to create a buzz. the buzz is contagious. Even the news gets buzzed with capitalism at play. In the end, who benefits? Not the end users. Not the general public. That's for sure. You can look at all aspects of the entertainment industry for the proof of this. If you don't agree with the marketing propaganda then you are not cool enough.

You buy the iphone. You buy the book,, watch the movie. Then you are cool. Otherwise you're an outcast. You are cool if you spend your money to make the billionaires richer by few more millions.

I had flunked once ,back in school ,due to harry potter, 'coz instead of reading textbooks i was reading Harry Potter & i simply loved it , i still do & i'm not a 10 yr old.

Amongst all, i find Goblet of fire really very interesting and when i was reading it's last chapter my eyes were so wide open in anxiety that i was thrown out of the class and i wasn't even guilty about it ,infact i finished the book in the corridor.
