Is anyone travelling via Cathay Pacific from Kathmandu(departure) on 9/19/2015 to San Francisco (arrival) 9/20/2015?

I heard from travel agency that traveler from Cathay Pacific don't need transit visa for Hong Kong while travelling to US. I just wanted to make sure if transit visa is needed for Hong Kong while traveling from Nepal to US in tourist visa.If anyone traveled recently from Cathay Pacific(from Nepal to US -transit in Hong Kong) then please share your experience.

Thank You Sherlock for your response. Did someone you knew or yourself traveled via Hong Kong recently?

Cathay Pacific has an agreement with Hong Kong Airport that allows Nepali passport holders to travel via HKG without needing a transit visa.

I've traveled via HKG twice. Mom's done it several times.

No need of visa. My parents came to LAX via HK and they had around 6 hr transit in HK few months ago. They returned last Sunday (13th sept.), and had around 12 hr transit. Also, my dad called Cathay Pacific few days before departure and they got access to Cathay's lounge to rest with free unlimited food/drinks as well! No worries, and enjoy your travel.

Actually my parents are travelling from Cathay Pacific from Kathmandu(departure) on 9/19/2015 to San Francisco (arrival) 9/20/2015. They don't speak English. So it would be really helpful if anyone who can speak English and Nepali or Hindi is travelling from that route. Thank You.
