 Is it possible to switch school between class IX and X ?

Hello,
my brother is a good student in class IX of a good but still modest school in Mahankal, Boudha.

I think it would be better for him to join one of the best schools of Kathmandu, since he is good student and I can afford the education fee.
I am thinking of Xavier International School, Kalopul.

My question is: Is it possible to switch school after class IX, or one has first to pass SLC ?
