Nepe you have shown disdain to anomymous posters many times. Wake up NEPE, because if I am not mistaken more than 99% of the posters in sajha are anonymous. Anonymous people are discussing about things and answering each others questions here in sajha. Seems like you don't have the balls to answer questions directed at you, and you don't have the balls to continue discussions by answering valid questions.

Don't be pleading your way out citing anonymous posters reason. If you don't want to discuss with anonymous posters then you should not be posting or discussing in sajha. Or wait, do you only discuss with anonymous posters who agree with you? and who love you for quoting your own lines. Wah Nepe Wah!

Shyamu,

Only a FRACTION of anonymous posters are ABUSIVE. Those are who I disdain if at all. Don't pretend you did not get it.

OK, pretend. But can you get it now ?

Nepe, it's pathetic how you call everyone who does not agree with you as abusive. You even called me abusive just because I don't agree with you.

I would like to raise the same questions that Anti-G raised you. Why don't you answer them? Or do you want to not answer them because I'm anonymous. Wait 99% are anonymous so whats your excuse?

There isn't a question about being incognito.....there is a question about incongruence. Although my heart bleeds for Nepal...I must say that I am least concerned about its political situation. Primary reason being..it does not feed me....secondary...I do not have a solution for the chaos....tertiary...there are some well learned people like ashu, nepe, few more others with the likes of Gagan Thapa and Gagan himself who are unarguably better in political know - how than a layperson like me.

BUT....

Has anyone noticed that chaos is born out of incompatibility and disagreement? Here are a few examples that might put more light on my understatement.

Rumsfeld vs Powell
Koirala vs Bhattarai
Jinnah vs Nehru

and now...

Nepe vs Ashu

Which has been clamoring Sajha for over sometime. There has been so much of animadversion and mockery between the proclaimed political heavyweights that people like me tend to find refuge in some other website.

Amidst this clash...the case at hand is often overlooked. No one comes out with bolstering thoughts to improve the present situation. Especially Nepe, who has been critical with most of the postings here should judge thyself before judging others.

I have nothing over Nepe, he is an excellent writer and a true scholar, I am in awe about how well he updates himself with the current situations in Nepal. Wish he could do more than mere spitting venom.

Nothing personal Nepe...just my two pennies....

Yah Nepe calls me abusive too just because I don't agree with him. I'm trying to get something straight now Do you not respond to anonymous people who are abusive or just abusive in general, and what do you classify as abusive. I have never been abusive besides not agreeing with you, but you don't answer my question about when you are going back.

"NEPE is not disdain for anonymous posters but he is disdain for the abusers"

I am also an anonymous poster and do not have same ideology with Nepe. Shyamu's varbal attacks are baseless and abusive.

Be clear and stop personal attacks

John,

You are one of the good posters (It's shame I have to say it, but the thread itself is to blame). I enjoy reading your stories and anecdotes and I remember even posting a quick remark to one of the stories.

I certainly value your money even if that's just two pennies for you.

That said, I feel that you haven't have chance to follow all of the conversations between Ashu and me.

It's true we often and easily get into heated debate which at times have turned what might appear ugly to the spectators. However always are we in respectable terms, in talking terms, sometimes sharing similar views and not less than often giving compliments to each other.

Ashu and I share a long history of debating and, if I may dare, an unspoken intimacy and understanding that develops naturally.

Who else should feel it better than a fine story writer who explores the mind of his characters, you, John ?

So, I kinda feel sorry that you have brought a responsible relation between Ashu and I to put along with very irresponsible and abusing posters of this site.

That apart, I do appreciate your suggestion about spitting less venom. I will only make a minor correction to make 'spitting' to 'spitting back', if you don't mind.

As an ordinary person, I can not rule out the lapses of judgements on my part, however I have always avoided what I perceive as mundane kura and alwys reciprocated niceness with niceness.

In any case, I appreciate you sharing honest dui shabda and thank you very much for your kind compliments.

By the way, if political kura is really not boring to you and particularly if you are after very respectable atmosphere, you might want to consider joining nepaldemocracy@googlegroups.com, where at least half a dozen old and new Sajhaites and quite a good number of who's who of Nepali Diaspora are active.

OK,

Thank you for kind words. As you rightly repeated it is the 'abuse' not the 'anonymity' that I disdain. Even 'disdain' might not be an accurate word. In any case, I know the value of anonymity. I have shared my view about it somewhere- anonymity brings the best or the worst, depending upon how we look, out of us.

OK, are you o.k.? Where do you see baseless and abusive verbal attacks? Show me one instance of so called 'verbal attack'?

If asking questions is verbal attack, I hope you don't consider this a verbal attack on you.

Nepe is a prolific writer. He has more or less consistent on his writings. As far as "spitting venom" is concerned - he does sometime but with due RESPECT. I was also giving him hard time but he handled accordingly. I really appreciate that.

I enjoy his Sayeri as much as his other writings. Nepe, you have good knowledge about everything I should say. Literature to politics to etc etc.

BUT ... I would suspect if you really know the fundamental political problem of our country. Most of the writers, politicians, economist, planners of Nepal talk about Kathmandu when they mention the word " Nepal". When some one says "Roads in Nepal are not good", then most of the so called "THINKIERS" think about new road, kings way like that. I do not know if Nepe is aware of this or not.

Keep it up Nepe....

Nepe...

hehehe....I should have said I cannot beat you in argument...well..I value whatever you said....maybe I did not keep up with the debates between you and ashu....politics was never my cup of coffee.

But anyways....No love lost Nepe....

Keep posting.

Nepe's writings make sense.

But he seems to have inclination to trust too much on any report that would support his political stand. To cite, opinion poll of College students RE: Monarchy.

Nepe is really a great sajha personality. When it comes to Nepe's venom for Ashu, his greatness condenses, his dispositions get questionable if not distasteful.

My 2 cents.

Sd_man,

Thank you for your kindness and understanding.

Although I have to defend myself sometimes for survival's sake, I never blame (at least in my heart) others for what happens to me. I consider everything except some random co-incidences as consequences and repercussions of my own actions and inactions.

I have no grievance against the 'hard time' I often get in Sajha, simply because I am fully aware that I can avoid it if I really want. I mean, all I have to do is to avoid talking about controversial subjects and limit myself to less controversial and more delightful subjects like art, science and philosophy. This has been working for others, so should work for me too ;-).

As for my knowledge and views, my source of information is limited and so, or ever without any reason, my views should be considered just one man's opinion. Nothing more, nothing less.

Careful readers must have noticed I use the phrase 'I think' extremely frequently in my writings. So I am careful about honesty and my limitation. And this carefulness comes from my training, if not from my heart :-) .

John Galt and rBaral jee,

Thank you for your kind words. I never needed them more to keep my sinking ship afloat.

As for Ashu and me, you might want to read this, a sample of evidences to the understanding between Ashu and I:

rBaral jee,

Having met you in person, that too on an occasion we both proudly share and cherish, it is both pleasure and honor to have you stop by and share your remarks. Thank you.

Regarding the piece of data from socalled 'Student Referenda', I surely have overused it to make my points, however, It goes without saying that the data itself is open for interpretation.

What bothered me is that some posters questioned the authenticity of the news to the extent of a total denial about it. The fact that these referenda occurred and the result that the voting students overwhelmingly favored republicanism (the numbers, as I said, are open for interpretation, though.) is endorsed by frequent citations by renowned journalists and political observers in Nepal. Here are some references:

For authenticity of the news about Student Referenda:

CK Lal's backing up the data by these words, " Young people started to openly espouse the republican agenda and in campus after campus, students voted against the monarchy in referenda.

Nepeji, I learned from you and other responsible Sajhaites how to ignore baseless and faceless abusers in sajha. Now, can I request you not to give a damn to some craps who come up with a new name every month and make nuisance of the webspace San has provided for free?
Your political persuasion and argumentative prowess is simply wonderful. Its a matter of individual perception whether to agree you or not. Whenever some one come up with a counter argument, there is a reason to reply. If someone has nothing but to complain about personal behaviours, why waste your time? Let the parasites die without getting a host to survive on.

Newuser and Shree5,

Here is an educational sher from Ghalib in a somewhat related vein.

जमआ करते हो क्यों रकीबों का
ईक तमाशा हुआ गिला ना हुआ

(You brought your enemies [to the court]
Only to become a show, not get justice [to your complaints])

Thanks for your support, guys.

Nepe,
Would you like to discuss more about the politics brewing in nepali Capital? The whim of republicanims among all the major political parties. The UML has resoluted to opt for republic and majority of NC leaders are also in favor of republic Nepal. Now the question remains, is it because of the activities of our MONARCH or is it because because of the political awareness among the newer generation?

My view is this: Monarchism is the remanant of feudal social structure, which should have been abolished in Nepal as well long long ago. There is no relavency of monarchism in any country in the world in whatever form. This is the institution of no good use. It sounds good to have monarchism in books of history only.

The problem of nepali society is education. These socalled monarchs are able to rule the country using different forms wherever applicable. They claim to be the Bishnu Avatar to iliterate people and use the term" symbol of unity" among the moderately educated people. They indirectly terrorise ordinary people (even to some party politicians) hinting that the Royal Nepali Army is under HIS control, which is baseless. And they do con politics by using people from differnt groups. Good examples are RK Mainali, Kesharjung Rayamajhi, Mr. Koirala (BPs son - kuputra) etc etc. And these moderately educated people thought the KING is ZENI.

What we should do is overthrow monarchims. If he want to do politics and serve nepali people, then he is more than welcome. BUT he should serve as a politician. Gone are the days for the king to day dream. People can repeat the Chowchesku story in Nepal if someone misuses people's aspiration.

What you say????
