Hi guys, Lots of post on Cheap airfare to Nepal.
The cheapest way is to Fly to Delhi from USA and from Cosmic Air to ktm.
You can find fares for Delhi from any major airport here for about $850. And Delhi to Ktm costs NRs 10,000. abt $140. Total less than $1000.
Tell someone in Nepal to mail you Del-ktm-del ticket. EMS mailing charges about Rs 1000.
Arrive in Delhi Collect your Luggage then go to Cosmic air Counter. Pay them about Rs 2000 or so Ghus for extra luggage. You are all set.
I have done it twice.

I had a very bad experience with Kali Travels....If you don't have any other option maybe.....

I had to wait in Amsterdam for 6 hrs and as I did have a Transit visa to travel to Munich, which they did not let me know in advance.....On top of that the baggage arrived 4 days afterwards I reached Ktm..

i m not that sure about it. I heard that we get cheap tickets to singapore,hk,sanghai.
go there..n we have flights from there goin to nepal straight...pay for tickets in singapore or whereever u try to reach..n let them know from which flight u r coming so if there r any delays they will deal with it.
n after reaching there just go to the counter, show them urs passport. ask them for ticket. n get going..
malai mero sathi le bhaneko. aba yo katti ko sacho ho jhuto ho ma chahi bhanna sakdina..tara ma sita tyo bhanda aru kunai bato nai chaina..pattaunai paryo..ho bhanda ho haina bhanda haina..tei bhara yeha bhaneko..yo idea katti ko ramro lagyo bhannus hai..
explore garda kei bigridaina.

Cosmic Air banda bhai sakyo. I tried going to Delhi from Cosmic Air while I was in Ktm this winter but they were already cosed. And the cheapest deal I could find was Rs. 6000 for one way.

forget me not,
It is your responsibility to look after the itineary and 6 hrs of transit time should not be considered bad at times due to infrequent flights operating in that route and also accounting for the cheaper fare that you direly need.
About the transit visa issue, it is your responsibility to find out the information. While it is easier if they let you know, ultimately they aren't immigration counselors...

Yet another thing,
so your baggage arrived 4 days later? Which flight did you take? There are some problems with gulf...indian ( a lot)...and almost all airlines suffer from this problem in long routes...I haven't had such experience but my friends have had that problem in the past. So, this is not the problem of the travel agent...

I ain't related to kali travels, but they gave me a decent deal in peak time. So, just letting you folks know about it.

Kali travels,
where is my commission for your free publicity and advocacy huh?

Hi! Folks
I am planning to go to Nepal in April. I am searching for a cheapest and shortest route and most of them are via Delhi.I am trying to avoid Delhi as much as possible, because I have heard rumours of all the hassles you have to go through in delhi ,overnight stay and 20Kg baggage allowance from Delhi to KTM etc.Is it really that bad?
After hearing all these things, I am trying to avoid this route .If you guys know any other route other than Delhi please let me know.
I will be travelling from Boston. Any realiable Travel Agencies?
Awaiting your responses.

Thanks
Lutii

Hey guys,
Try Peaceland Travels and Tours, the people there are really helpful and they have pretty good deals. I got mine for summer for $12,50 inclusive of all taxes. Goodluck!

Gulf Air is not that bad. Even the air fare is resonable but I traveld two years ago from Ktm-abudhabhi to baharin to Frankfort to DFW in somewhere $780 that was included a child ( under two years). Service were great flights were in time and it was not a long transit except in germany but it was not that bad at all.

Going back to Nepal I tried Air Canada becasue it seems fastest and not bad for fare but I missed my flight, so I was misrable with a year old baby so make sure you have at least 4-5 hours of transit with your connecting flight.
