Sajha has seen a lot of nicknames evolve and eventually disappear. Still there are many handles who have managed to remain constant without fadeing into the background. Some users like ashu, Sitara, Poonte, Deep, Nepeare here for some years and are unique in their styles and specialization. Like, ashu for business and "samsamayik gatibidhi" of Nepal, Sitara for short stories and wit, Poonte for humour and international relations Deep for Nepali stories and Nepe for gazals, Kavita and politics. However, there are newer members who have different specializations like in photograhpy-- i_nepali aka bhanja, Aloneguy27 and therock. In the past, there used to be a guy call Arnico who used to post beautiful pictures of Nepal. Especially after Feb 1, I have noted Sajha has experienced more users and consequently more nicknames. In the new generation, there are lots of promising people like newuser, dadagiri, Ok, etc. , just to name a few. Also due to the emergence of Nepali unicode, Nepali story telling has become both easy and interesting. Dadagiri, Ok, pundit, Nirman, etc. have emerged as the new generation of storytellers emulating Deep and Gunaraj. Still, some of the veteran old generation have vanished, for example, Biswo- a skilled political debater, Paschim, Arnico and even the astrologer Trikal. Still wondering if they are around in another avatar. And the new generation is also vivid and interesting. Each one has a unique way of writing and own interests. Guys, keep on posting about how you think of other users and what specializations they have. P.S. I wish to type in nepali, but now too busy(lazy!!) to look for win Xp CD or even learn it for one hour. Hope to do it in summer holidays.

I am happily surprised to see this thread grow this much in 24 hours, otherwise from my past experiences, the threads started by me used to get drowned without getting any support from fellow sajhaites. I am glad I managed to start a thread which attracted interest from others to post into it. Again talking about fellow posters, Isolated Freak should not be forgotten, who has a resolute political stand and confident way of debating. Paramendra, also an expert political debater, has a very good presentation style. Oys_chill, echoes are good and prolific writers though they have reduced their presence in sajha these days. Moneyminded and Jagaltay Bhoot have unique ways of writing, both in criticizing and supporting others. I have seen SaruBhakta II as a potential Nepali poet and writer, but however he has opted to remain in his budding stage for a long time. The thread of Dada Giri about the poem about his wife was such a hit due to the "dohori" between Dada and Saru. More coming sometime tomorrow. We shall talk about interesting past threads.

First, Worldmap ji, you've enriched our literary experiences with your revival of Bhupi Sherchan's poetry. Thank you! Second, this thread celebrates each Sajhaite as a unique player in this almost harmonious cyber world. Newuser, someday I hope to live up to your lofty expectations of my writing. Trikal ji, What sextiled you to make your auspicious appearance in this May day?! :P Oys, MC, I believe Trikal wears his asteroid belt to deflect unwanted attention from astro buccaneers like hulaki! :P

Thanks for mentioning my name newuser, I started blushing, as a novice, I do not deserve such eulogy. Dadagiri, Sitara, Nirman, Poonte, Netazneta, Ashu, Deep, Newuser, Zalim singh, Robert Frost, Nepe, Jira et all are great writers. Their works are a class apart, they seem to have more talent than Samrat Upahyay and Manjudijju which has unfortunately gone unnoticed. Sitara, Ashu, Nirman, Netazneta, dadagiri and newuser top my list, exremely talented people I must say. My eyes are watered for some reason while I type their names. It is an honor seeing you guys shed your feelings. Ruina and Meera have been very close to me, one is a sister and the other a good friend.Hush and I started off with stinging rebukes but there was not any love lost. I found my long lost friend of 13 years after I started writing in Sajha, never expected such a reward from a mere entertaining website. Thank you all for being here in sajha, and forever be. In appreciation, John Galt

Johnji your words of approbation are truly encouraging but honestly I don't deserve to be included in the above league. Please let me voluntarily withdraw my name from the list if you don't mind. I can only wish if I had been as good as you have thought. Nevertheless jabarjasti lekhda lekhdai, with inspirations from you all, I hope I can improve. Me thinks Sitara, John Galt, Ashley, have the linguistic flair to emulate Samrat's deeds in English literature. Your works posted in sajha are the testimony, no eulogy required.

Thank you all for your kind words. I appreciate them. Please allow me to predict that -- in coming years -- Sitara is likely to emerge as a writing star (fiction) in her own way in a very public way. I hope that she works harder at nurturing the talent that she has in abundance by seeking comments and criticisms from other established American writers she is likely to meet at her school. While I apprecaite your kudos, I consider my writing quite utilitarian in the sense that I USE it for relatively BORING/unglamorous purposes: To write reports, memos and articles, to share ideas and generate thoughts, and to communicate various points of views in the simplest and the clearest manner that I can think of. William Zinnser's (sp?) book "On Writing Well" greatly influenced my writing style, when I was trying to write well; and some of you may find that book worth buying/reading for yourselves. Though I enjoy reading widely, I myself carry NO literary aspirations of any kind, so I do not feel "burdened" to write something really literary. That said, I greatly enjoy posting stuff on Sajha: to learn something new, for amusement, to share information, to challenge people's thoughts, to relax (like I am doing now) and, sometimes, to just annoy people (to quietly see how they react). It's been a helluva ride on Sajha for the last five years (yes, since 2000 AD); here's a toast for another five more years on Sajha with old and new friends. Well, this is turning out to be -- as M.P. would pronounce -- a "mahaBharat". But as true-blue Nepali patriots, let's make that, well, "mahaNepal." :-) oohi "for god, country and friends lost and found on sajha.com . . . . not necessarily in that order" ashu
