A nepali girl has been missing since last sunday in estes park,colorado. she is a student at st.cloud state university and was working in estes for the summer. police is already involved with this situation.they have posted her picture all over the place. she was last seen at 10am last sunday, while on her way to work. her name is pratistha budathoki and no one has a clue where she is. her belongings were all left behind in her room including her passport. the nepalese community in estes park is seeking your help. if anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact Estes Park Police Department at 970-586-4000 or e-mail to hotzone272@hotmail.com. please help us find her.

I m one of pratistha's fren from nepal. i know her since long. but we didn't contacted each other since she left iowa. I m really worried for her. can u provide any information regarding her, what actually is going on, what colorado police is doing, did any one got any clue. what really could had happen to her. what the nepali association is doing for this case. did any one from her family or any relative from america came to colorado for this case.

plzzzzzz lets us know every step by step information, coz we are deing to hear about her
rather we are deing to see pratistha back safe n sound.

I believe in god and i know where ever pratistha is, Almighty, omnipresent god is taking care of her self.......

Ross, do you know what sort of information the Church gave about Pratista. This is not the moment we should be wasting our valuable time. It the information the Church gave was reliable, then we should be exploring what sort of things was she talking in the Church. Does any of her friend know, was she in tremendous pressure from college. I am sure there were other Nepalis student also working in that ice cream, have they seen her talking to other person at work or someone might be stoking her. When I stopped by last year she was working in Subway and there other few Nepalis also working there. Other things like when she moved from Cornell to St. Claud, I am sure she has some close friends there probably that’s why she moved there, that person should know her personal situation. Has any one of her roommate noticed any abnormalities?
Looks like whole Nepalis community are united to help her finding her. Can any one from Estes park update the thread what other Nepalis currently living is US can be a help for this cause. I know every one in Estes parks are student, it will be hard for them. Other Nepalis who wants to help are relying in this thread. Please update.

Police: Missing woman's phone was used days after she disappeared

ESTES PARK, Colo. — Someone used a cell phone belonging to a missing exchange student two days after she was last seen, but investigators said Monday they had no other clues and did not know where she was.

Pratistha Budhathoki, 20, of Nepal was working in this town near Rocky Mountain National Park for the summer to help pay for her studies at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, police said.

She was last seen when she left for work on June 18, but she did not arrive at her job, police Cmdr. Wes Kufeld said.

Kufeld said someone used Budhathoki's cell phone in Denver at 8:26 a.m. June 20 to check her voice mail. He said investigators checked with airlines at Denver International Airport but no one recalled seeing her.

Kufeld said investigators also checked with hospitals around the state with no luck.

He said Estes Park has 17 sworn officers and all are working on the case. Estes Park is about 50 miles northwest of Denver.

An uncle of Budhathoki's is trying to travel to Estes Park but has been unable to leave Nepal because of visa problems, Kufeld said.

Police have said Budhathoki does not own a car and left her passport at home. She was not a hiker or mountain biker, police said.

so far only local news channels and papers are broadcasting this, i believe. is it possible in anyway to broadcast this in main news channels say CNN and/or FOX for that matter? i am pretty sure, nepalese community in US are trying their best in their own ways possible to chip in with some help. however i don't see this news being broadcasted in major media yet. hence, on behalf of all nepalese, i would like to put forth this issue to associations of nepalese diaspora in US (ANA, ANMA, NASEA et al) to help in at least broadcasting the news in major channels. we hope that it will help to push the concerned authorities to act accordingly. its been a WEEK!!! c'mon now, we need to get more serious, don't we?

i think nancy gray in FOX might be better plus she has special shows only for missing people. She did a lot of airtime on natalee halloway (aruba girl). if our organizations would step up and make a request, she might be able to help us all.

what was the update on survellience video that pratistha's friends saw? i read that her credit card was also used on Monday in a grocery store. any update on that?

I think, the transaction in credit card on Monday and the voice mail checked after two days later should give the solid lead in this case. Generally the credit card company should be able to put red flag by checking the signature and the type of the store it was used in, if the credit card is indeed stolen. Again, Denver international airport is quite a distance from the Estes park and Denver downtown. The person who used the cell phone either has to rent a car in the airport or flying through the airliners, my guess.
They know exact time, they should be able to look in the camera round the airport at that time. I think those two are the leads police should be looking. Just my opinion.

There is a Student missing in Estes Park. I tried looking for her
updates, but there is nothing on EPPD site or your's. Can you please do
something that will be helpful on knowing her whereabouts and the leads

It is sad. I hate when country like america can't find a lady who has been missing for ten days now.

LEt's pray for her and her family for her safe and live returning home and peace for her family and loved ones.
