Chatmandude, The king stated that he is reinstating the parliament in accordance with the "margachitra" (roadmap) of the agitating parties. FYI, the roadmap also supported by the Maoists contains these things: reinstatement of parliament, a new government of the political parties, dialogue with the Maoists/a roundtable, and election to the constituent assembly to draft a new constitution. The new constitution should decide the role of the monarch and the armed forces. But civil soceity and media should be vigilant because otherwise you never know when these same netas will forget their pledge and when Gyane may start another take over!!

Chatmandude, IMO that was a maag made by SPA to get the support of maoists... Now, that the SPA can go ahead and make the government themselves i.e without the help of maoists, I don't think they would worry about constituent assembly at the moment... After all these years of kursi deprivation, SPA would like to concentrate on their kursis rather than the Maoists who can execute SPA leaders anytime they come to power.

Man! the king is still playing the game. The parliament was dismissed according to the constitution. The SC also stated that the dismissal was constitutional. Yes, the intent of the king in dismissing the parliament was far from being fair to the process but the process, nevertheless, was constitutional. I don't understand what's the point of reinstating the parliament, members of which can't even go to their constituency. Hijadaharuko khel suru bho feri aba. What a joke! dismiss the parliament reinstate the parliament...ask the Supreme Court, slap the Supreme Court... the king keeps on dancing. Now, he has asked the politicians to join the dancing as well. CA is urinated upon. If the movement takes a break now, it will not be easy to swing millions of people on the streets again any time soon. The king looks safe, at least for now. This reinstatement of parliament is the best news for GPK, thank-god news for the king, a bad news for Maoists, and horrible news for the people. The pain, and sufferring continues for common citizens.

Thanks, Lonely1, for your explanation. So, 1. Parliament Restoration 2. Formation of new interim government (including Maoists?) 3. Constituent Assembly 4. New constitution + removal or stay of monarchy Of the above 4 (not verbatim to the demands of SPA), #1 has been fulfilled. Does this mean the king will allow the rest 3 points to occur? I think this has to be made crystal clear. Otherwise, we might just be back at pre-2002 state and still have the same problems.

It's so weird... After all the demonstrations and big naaras, we Nepali have to keep ourselves happy with the likes of Shere and Girija et al. Are we not happy now that we have got democracy and some bhrasta netas as its dowry.... Nepali ko Slogan: Girija babu Jindabaad Waha ko thulo bhudi Jindabaad Raja ko atyachar Murdabad murdabad Girija babu ko bhrastachar Jindabad Jindabad Raja lai kursi bata -- jharerai chodchau girija babu ko paisa ko bhok-marerai chodchau Raja le kei garna-- paudaina paudaina Girija babu le desh beche pani, koi complain garna aaudaina aaudaina. Raja gyane you are chor... Girija babu timro corruption, we want more..

You are right chatmandude. Let's hope things are better now on and not like the ringmarole of pre-andolan times. But of course we--meaning most if not all of us--must be vigilat to the actions of these parties and the palace because we live in a country and time where anything can happen. Isn't it amazing that the same people are called Maoist infiltrators one day and the following day the king calls them andolankari saheed and ghaite and wishes them well? And the whole family is wiped out in matter of minute (Palace kaand)?.... Well, let's not list them all!

WARNING!!!!!!!! look at the kings proclamation ... he said "i reinstate parliament with this ghosana" ???? wtf is that??? doesnt it mean that he is above the law and do whatever he wants .. he didnt quote any article of the constitution while doing that...not even his beloved Article 127 ...... if he can "reinstate" parliament just with a proclamation then he can as well dissolve it or do whatever he wants with it haina ra??? and further, even if the parliament is reinstated how is the new parliament going to announce CA elections...technically, parliament doesnot have the authority to announce unconditional CA elections that could remove the monarchy ... so how is the reinstated parliament going to announce CA elections? to the Federal Republic of Nepal

"Spa has already welcomed it and They are doing Victory celebrations in ktm right now" !! Now all the big naras and bigger declarations boil down to one thing... SPA did not do the demonstrations and protests for the interest of common Nepali people... It was all about power and nothing else... hahaha we should party too... Nepal ma prajatantra aayo and hamile man parayeko desh-bhakta neta Girija ji pradhanmantri hunu hudai cha.... What a victorious moment for us (pun intended).....
