Maoists not to surrender arms
Kathmandu , 8 May: Maoist central committee member Pampha Bhusal has stated that they will not surrender their weapons until the election for constituent assembly will be successfully carried out, writes Dibyadarshan weekly.

Addressing a mass meeting held last Sunday Bhusal suggested the seven parties that an interim government consisting of the representatives from the parties, Maoists and civic society must be formed and hold election for the constituent assembly.

Bhusal further suggested that just a proposition for constituent assembly is not enough, they ought to declare it and apply it to an enduring practice.

She is right. Unless there is a free and fair election of constituent assemly election maoists should not surrender their weapons. Their weopons will be well managed only after complete reformation RNA and PLA.

They will never surrender their weapons. Their whole existence is based on arms. Without arms and violence, Maoists cease to exist. Besides they can have good free meals, extort money and threaten or kill those who they don't like with their weapons. Do you think they will give up so easily?
Even if the top Maoist leaders give up violence, there will be bunch of fractioned armed groups that will exist in the country. They may not be known as Maoists from there on, but they will be ex-maoists turned dacoits, armed gangs & robbers.
Maoists have sown violence in our society and it will take a long long time to get rid of it if we ever can.

How can we imagine a fair election if the candidates carry a gun. Damn it's sick. A$$ Holes Maoists.

Group surrenders weapons
Nawalparasi, 8 May: Groups in several villages united to fight Maoists in the southern part of the districts surrendered their weapons to the local administration Saturday, Nepal Samacharpatra reports.

Group chief Munna Khan said they surrendered all weapons to police extending support to the present popular government.

One week ago, a dozen locals from Bhujhawa gave up their weapons to Maoists through their families and surrendered themselves to Maoists.

Ten persons were killed in clashes between Maoists and the groups fighting Maoists in three years terrorizing thousands of people.

Of course they are not going to surrender their guns. Let's just cross our fingers and hope that we'll have peace sometime in the future(I doubt it though).
