Here you go guys. Conroe E6700. The only thing that can beat this is either a quad core, Conroe Extreme or else, the same chip with Windows Vista. Right On Fellas.. show me what you got.

Damn, DC brother, You definitely have a better system than mine. But I couldn't afford the one you have :-( I use this for basic apps, web server, photo and video editing and maybe gaming in the days to come. Rock on. Keep rolling.

No experiences brother. Have only worked with Apache/Apache Tomcat and of course IIS. But the web server is for personal use only. In fact I'm not a computer pro either. I just get my work done that's all :-)

I am sorry to say that I have a P3 at home and I am happy with it. I have no need for a multi processor system for home but I have many multi-processor top-of-the-line systems to mess with at work. :-)

2 CPU does not mean there are two processors, or am I in dillusion? My PC says 4 CPU because it has Pentium 4. Neverthless, just ot share with you, I had worked on systems having 128 Pentium in one big chassis. It really does not feel different, but with multiple processors running at the same time, s/w engineers had to lock out many threads accessing the shared resources. Multi-threading happening at resource levl like Interrupts, DMA etc.

Well Core 2 Duo means 2 processing cores in 1 CPU package. But the architecture is better than having two separate processors. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Core_2 In the device manager the you can see two separate CPUs. So next time you buy a computer look for Intel's Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme inside
