September 27, the day when all nation was mourning for the recent tragic Helicopter tragedy in Nepal, Nepalese Embassy in Washington DC was hosting a grand reception for their delegate headed by DPM oli. The reception was attended by more than 100 nepali. Is there anything more shameful than this event? Washington DC is the home for Migma Sherpa and instead of visiting Migma’s family and friend, Oli attended the reception by Nepal embassy. I live in Washington DC community and Migma is a wonderful community member and whole country is mourning but Oli and embassy are celebrating. I wonder if this embassy officials and Foreign minister abroad works for Nepal Government or somebody else. I feel this event is more unfortunate than what happened last Saturday.
I could not resist my frustration and could not believe that government official and Khadga oli dare to do so. These people deserve punishment.

Shame shame poppy shame!

We should throw a party when those perpetrators die too.

I am 'thoroughly' with you. I mean completely.

BTW the sajhaites are using this word 'thoroughly' too commonly on the past couple of threads. Bheda mentality there again!!

that was not right, guess they should have gone to his place to convery condoleces.
but again, reception doesnt always mean "party", sometimes its just a business affair.

so it they attended a party, well thats wrong, but if it was a reception, business as usual, then well, it has to be done.

and by the way, that OLI is DPM, not FM

I think we should stop seeing everything from the lens of a casteist.

It was not conducted just a simple reception, nor a business meeting.

The audience invited selectedly by the Nepal Embassy cheered to the song
of Meera Rana --- "Makhamali choli". Can you call that a usual business meeting
or a get together?

The nation was still in mourning at the loss of top conservationists.

I think it was very insensitive of the Nepal Embassy.

My other point is that the crowd at the reception never asked the hard questions to the
leaders. There was nothing new in the leader's speech. Same ole same ole.

When the nation is at the crossroads and even the summit talk to resolve the ongoing problem is delayed, our leaders need to be serious.

Very embarrassing. It shows how much they care, who they represent. Some retarded is in charge of Embassy. Above picture of Oli is very funny. They need someone to hold an umbrella! These lazy dogs are not worth of penny. If that umbrella was for sun light, why was it so high? Natak nai dherai chha. Oli should be inside body arm not under useless umbrella.

Oli should've treated better to the sholder holding the umbrela. Technically, Oli should be holding the umbrella and not the other way around. Because, Oli is civil servant, and the sholder is risking his life to defend the country while Oli is busy biting fried chicken in D.C..... I don't see the difference between Rana regime and the Oli and Co. regime. .. they both are using sholders to hold chatas and robbing the country... shame to all the Nepali for chosing such leaders...
