Quick question guys
how many credits per semesters are required by INS (currently USCIS) to maintain legal F-1 status? I've already taken 6 credits this semester (in fall and spring sessions) and I'm working on CPT . I want to take a break in summer semester but continue working on CPT. Can I do so as a part-time F-1 student?

The number of crediits that makes you a fulltime student. that is determined by your university. normally 8 ( 6 for some prog. in some universities) at PG.

I think DSO at your university should answer your question more specifically....because university has slight variation in requirements ..
