Please suggest me any colleges in the east coast area which can give me CPT right away. I have completed M.S. in computer science and working on CPT right now.

I have University of Northern Virginia, Goldey Beacom College in my list and I need more.

I need the CPT only till Sept as I can start working on H-1B from this Oct.

Please help me out guys....

You will get a CPT 120 in a week. This is a Quarterly semester based college. Next sem will start from July. Contact asap.

I was about to join here last year but I got my H1B so didn't had to, Although I paid the $65 for application.

anybody has more information on University of Bridgeport, CT ? Do they have rolling admissions all the year round?

 

go and see ur international student advisor. u don't need to worry about ur status if ur H1-B is approved. ur OPT/CPT will be extended.

its good to know that there are actually few colleges that give CPT right away...but my next question is has anyone actually got one or know anyone who has got it ?

University of Bridgeport doesn't give the CPT right away. You have to complete at least 2 semesters before you could get the CPT and of course you must have 3.0 GPA and your job should be related to your field of study.

 

Eastcoast, are you sure that Bridgeport doesn't give CPT right away?
Does anyboby know if ITU (International Technology University, CA) offer online classes? I will call ITU eventually but its kind of difficult to ask them for admission in CA when you are in the east coast .

Can somebody shed some light on the CPT matter, please?

Here's my question: Does CPT require you get academic credits?

Yes, I am positive that University of Bridgeport doesn't give CPT right away. I graduated from University of Bridgeport. Some students from Bridgeport who were in your situation are going to Goldey-Beacom College in Delaware. They give the CPT right from the first semester but you have to attend the class every other saturdays. Their website is, www.gbc.edu.

As far as I know, you have to register for at least 1 credit for the CPT.

I'm In Goldey Beacom College now but I want to transfer. Please suggest me any other college.

I don't know any other colleges, but I heard there is one institute in NY City and they are authorised to issue I-20 and CPT.

I don't know much about it, google it, hope you can find some more info.

You only have to complete 7 months of on campus study. They they will provide you CPT. Lawyer here at MUM is so good. ७ महिना ससुराली को बसाई जस्तै हुन्छ, टन्न खान, बस्न ‌अनि महिना को $200 पनि दिन्छ।
Just you have to stay 7 months then no problem of status for 25 months and they also has option of post graduate that adds 1 yr. extra on 25 months.

ganatantra, thanks for the suggestion. I know about MUM, but I need the CPT right away, I can't wait till 7 months and I need it only till end of Sept.

Eastcoast, are you talking about infoserve or ASA institute of technology in NYC?

 

I called UNVA (University Of Northern Virginia) and they told me that I've to pay them 3,000 for applying for CPT. They are also asking me for giving a notarized copy of affidavit of support. Does anybody have a similar experience with UNVA?and how strictly do they track attendance?
