Well I do not know the translation, and I doubt that there is any, anyway.
If there is none then, Just call it Cauda, explain the rules and the game. And let the original word "Cauda" be the english word. English language migrates many words from other different languages.
It is just the matter of promoting and introducing words to new culture that is different then ours.
ie.
"Guru", "jungle", "Mantra", "himalayas", "Karma" all these are hindi words, and the west did not know what they ment either, just 50 years back, and now everyone knows.

Kauda . . i remember the time when i was in +2 . 30,000 marda panja le .. even all of my frens are abroad .. we talk on fone about missing kauda in tihar . thats our like tradition in back home playin kaudi in tihar .. and we started around the age of 13 ... and we used to warm up with small bet like 40-50 rs ..and then later . . big people used to replace us and then real game used to start with higher bet .. people loosing and beting their gold rings and so on . .. .
any guys have idea where we can get cauda. . mostlikely in los angeles... . other wise have to hunt somewhere around in venice beach .. . we have a plan .. kauda hannne tihar ma .. 7-9 jana saathi haru cha. hanni vaniraheko cha.. if any body interested .. are welcome . ..

I brought kouda from Nepal as my thuloba in UK asked me it as a favour.... He invited me for a get together at his place during tihar.... Buda ko kouda hanne plan raichha..... tara dau chinne buda bahek kohi rahinchha.... so for the fair game,,, i was invited.... I was excited youth... started playing kouda with those old professional buda... other two were just there fun..... I won £ 400 in half an hour..... than those two amatuer buda left the game saying its mili bhagat ... It was afair game.. tiya dau hane ko... chha hhat saat thada lagatar haneko... buda haru ko satto gayoo.. Since than ... I have not get a chance to play kouda,,,, that was in 2005
