Atleast let's start a thread with right use of verbs (suck is a verb, not a noun) Give me the name of a hotel in NY, which can offer a rate of 89 per night, and has a ballroom that can house 1500 people. Fact is, there is none in NYC except in Manhattan (Queens, Brooklyn and Bronx don't have any). Manhattan is toooo expensive. Closest was Newark, although I don't know if the organizers knew it was a ghetto neighbourhood. I know the location sucked, and that's why I think lotsa folks didn't come on DJ nights (I thought cultural and concert were sold out if I am not wrong). As for sports and complains that you didn't go bcoz of transportation, I was in Arizona and Colorado and both time we had to go on our own. Never had been a minivan provided for sports viewers (If I am not wrong, the organizers did provide the minivan the first day, don't know what happened after that). When people who come to convention like this, don't pay to register, how else can you even the cost of high tech audio/visuals, artists cost, without raising the price of ticket. Jeez people, have some appreciation. I wish ANA would come forward and defend themselves. But then again, they don't have time to listen to whiny youngsters such as you folks.

Kiddo and virus, I completly agree with both of you even though you have completly opposite views, but somewhat reflects the common concerns of this and the other thread. Yes it is very hard to organize such kind of conventions, specially with such a limited resources that we have. For that matter my kudos to the organizers. They have given their valuable times out of their busy schedule, however few complains and suggestions are valid here. It is always good to listen constructive criticism. I do agree that the convention was poorly organized and it was little costly too. Somebody has mentioned that if you dont like it, dont go to such conventions, and I think it is a wrong statement. It attracts lots of people and if they dont like something about it, they should be able to voice it out, so that atleast the next organizer will know what not to do. As far as the location in Newark concerns, the organizer did a blunder by choosing such location. I do agree that New York is an expensive place and it is hard to get place like that, but choosing a location in such a bad area, I think the organizer had risked people's life, because if people missed an exit or if they go to nearby restaurant, their safety could be in jeopardy, and that I have witnessed myself. In my opinion I would have paid few more dollars to stay in safer area. I give c+ for the organizer, for poor lmanagement, insufficient information, lack of proper guidance to attendees and costly tickets for the programs. I give B+for the events such as cultural show and the Mukti's concert. Overall I give B for pulling out all those different sports, forums and other events. I understand it is a hard job, and I do appreciate what they have done, but just wished that they would have done better.
