About last 10-15 years our people have been exposed to the outer world especially to the western world. western world means obviously usa, uk, canada etc. people from our country now has started to adopt the same culture that is freedom, freedom, freedom and its fashion. freedom is obviously your by born right. but what about the fashion that has degraded our culture.

aingnam01, wht r u trying say degrade culture?? u mean like revealing clothes?? or like not wearing saari or gunyo cholo? u cud prolly see more of a woman's skin in saari than in a reg. everyday clothes. n as far as saari n gunyo cholo goes...am not gonna wear it??? except for some wedding or some special cultural events?? if u think we should be wearin wht our grannnys were wearing....then puhleeeeeez spare us frm such crap!! it's unconvenient ...n seriously not flattering to wear for daily purposes. if i think i look gud in jeans...then i'm gonna wear it. if i think i look gud in a dress..long or short...i'm gonna wear it hell yeah...seriously wht world u live in?

aingnam01 is right, you western girls, go wear shorts, f ck with negarr, or even be naked and roam around  we will not stop ridiculing you guys unless you sense of being a Nepali. I am not saying go and wear gunyo and saari but please dont compete with each other to expose in public. I think ANA convention was a decent gathering of Nepali people ranging from kids to grandpas but just have a glimpse on the pictures and videos of westerners (chaduli haru) you will realize whats the fact.

I remember I saw a Nepali girl wearing extremely short clothes in freezing cold weather. She was shivering in cold.  Honestly speaking she didn't attract me at all because of her short clothes  rather i really felt pity on her.

well guys, no offense but i have to say this and yes u have to admit this. i understand what you are trying to say but what if.... again no offense it was your sisters, cousins wearing shorts and guys staring at them. do you not get offended. if in my case i will get offended 100%. and now please dont tell me no.

and girls if you really like fashion and the way these so called western people live why dont u do it. go with a different guy everyday, party everynight. why to limit it.

and i am not telling you  all just to wear sari, gunyo choli. or daura suruwal but try to be decent. there are many people rite here who still believe on these. and they are called pro conservative if you dont know. have you ever heard bush daughter getting pregnant or hillary exposing her body. forget about these higher people. go to school and see instructor or administrative people, government offices and look at the people and their outfits. thats was decency is. not people in the hood or in the street. well if you wanna call them a society than i dont have nth to say. but compare u with good people and i mean to say really good people if you think you are good enough to be in a good society. dont compare with those who dont even know their future or their next meal. hey we are here that means we have atleast got a high school degree, so think high not people like high school dropouts, or college dropouts.

look at your thinking. u think only old folks thinks like that. there are plenty of conservative people like me who has not even crossed mid 20's. now who is weird u figure out. does age makes any difference. there are bunch of people over 40 who dont think like me. so what.

Age does matter...and if someone is a teenager or in early 20s fashion (especially clothes) is a big deal and it is more than likely that his/her dress (or how and what he/she wears) will likely attract some wanted (or unwanted) attention from other people.  

I dont believe it will cause extensive degratdation to any specific culture. Almost every people who might dress provocatively or have extensive taste for outragious fashion will eventually grow out of it as they grow older unless you are Madonna ("who still dresses like an old hooker"- as mentioned by Saron Osbourne [ Ozzy Osbourne's wife]) or Mick Jagger  (who still thinks he can get a bunch of groupies from his hay days of 60s and 70s) if he dresses in outragious ways.

Believe me, 95 percent of people will grow out of it...well...the rest of the 5 percent ...that's too small a number to overwhelm rest of the world.

Key word here is dont panic...
