i have tps, and also h1b visa. i filed for h1b visa extension will take time to get approved. My driving license is expiring soon.and went to dallas dmv to renew with tps. But the dmv office told me that when they check online, they couldn't find my updated status and couldn't verify my legal status. Do you guys have any idea, what do u mean by updated status when the dmv check online, and how to renew you driving license with tps?

Without tps EAD, they will not renew

5124242600 . Call this number .. try to get customer service and tell them the dmv says your status is not updated. They will look it up online and tell you if its in system already or how long will it take . You dont need EAD ro renew . I did it the same way . Hope it helps

Same issue with me few years back while adjusting my status. Had to call some no and request updates. They also send some mail once it is updated. Drove few days or weeks with expired DL but had all the paper work just in case.
