PM Says Cheese!

While Harka and his QR gang is busy disrupting the parliament for no good reason, our PM Balen is busy ignoring the haters and listening to Frank Sinatra's "My Way" while taking a much-needed break on Saturdays, eating our own Nepali Yak Cheese!

To all the young folks out there, be like Balen. This man is a good role model for our young ones because he is finally showing us all what actions speak louder than words mean! And how to not give a fork about your haters and continue to do the job you were assigned to do.

Some of our lawmakers think that the PM should answer every question from them but being a PM is not like a guy selling 3 socks for Rs 100 in the middle of New Road, dodging municipality cops while practicing his vocals to someday join the Italian Opera. I think there is a spokesperson assigned for the government and he can do his job and that should be enough.

From now onwards, expect a new update every Saturday from our PM's Facebook page. Now, we can even start a guessing game for what will pop up next Saturday. His previous update has made some of our MahaBouddha wholesalers happy as they are running out of white shorts and the cool pants and this week DDC is running out of Yak Cheese.

The Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) has been around for more than half a century. I think it was the OG Balen, aka MBBS who decided that we need to have our own dairy stuff more organized back then. The DDC has been in a hole for the past three decades due to corruption, political interference and recruitment of jackass jholeys. It's now time to change it for better.

Our DDC should send their staff to Amul in India and get some ideas and even learn some new technical and logistical skills to make DDC as good as Amul. And it's about time the hakims pay all our dairy farmers on time and come up with better and new products for the young ones to make sure DDC doesn't suffer from more than Rs 50 crore in losses every year.

And with the help of some foreign partners, we could be exporting our cheeses and churpis and ghee to the rest of the world and make billions of dollars. Yes, it is possible but we do need better technology and meet the international standards to compete globally.

We also need to be buying more DDC stuff and stop buying Amul products here at home. Yes, Amul tastes better maybe and its salty butter thing makes better butter toast maybe but why are we sending our money to Gujarat when it could go to our dairy farmers instead?

In my opinion, we should privatize DDC... the government should have a 10% stake, sell 41% to the general public, and partner with a Dutch company and offer them 49% stake. And in a few years, we will be selling our products to Dubai and Dublin and even Djibouti!

Our dairy farmers will then be getting paid on time and maybe even in dollars, and we could sell enough abroad to cut down our trade deficit and who knows balance the budget someday too!
