There is a huge movement going on for women's rights and equality. This movement is hypocritical as long as we have segregation of sexes in sports. Why do we have women's basketball, women's soccer, etc? Is it implying that women can't compete with men so they have to play with themselves dhood bhat? We dont' have a Michael Jordan for women. Maybe someday??

So you saying CHYNA should wrestle against KURT ANGLE and expect her to win? Women simply do not have enough physical power and agility to compare against top-brass male counterpart.

Women's rights and equality is for (intangible) opporunity to access the resourcess vested by the mother nature. Sports is totally Physical and Males are stronger than Females by nature, and thats the law of the Nature. Sports cannot be compared with rights for natural opportunity between male and female.

grgDai,
the movement is not for equality, it is for equity.
Do some research on equity vs equality. It will enlighten you more including Nepali vs Indian, Immigrants vs Citizens, Asylum GC vs DV Lottery GC vs F1-OPT-H1-GC and much more.

But men are men; the best sometimes forget. --William Shakespeare And I might add... "Women are women, and both men and women sometimes forget."
OR
The two were never meant to be the same; that is in the nature of things. Amen!

C'mon dude, just think. You very well know why. Kina bujh-pachaako?
Yes women are equal to men when it comes to brains. But that is not true for brawn.
Women can compete with men on any activity that requires mental and some amount of labor stamina. But, obviously, women cannot compete on physical scale. So just because the latter is true does not mean gender equality is a hypocrisy.
C'mon now. I am sure you are just making a joke, right? I hope so. Otherwise, this thread comes off as idiotic.

Gais and bhaisis. so you can say they have smaller body build so you have to understand they are not equal. Then you will come and tell me that their cranial volume is less than a man's. I just heard this topic on radio this morning so wanted to share. It's interesting.

As simple and obvious as it sounds this is a profound topic. NASCAR now has women driver (the hot Dannica Patrick), PGA features women golfers too (despite them having LPGA). I haven't seen a rule in FIFA that says women players are barred so if a capable one comes I am sure she will be allowed, but since there is a women world cup I might be wrong. To me, unless a sporting event has men and women category, women are allowed. The category is not being sexist, it is similar to different weight division in boxing. Sure, many sports don't allow women and those can surely be labelled sexist if a woman is barred from participating in it. Unless there is a sports that involves your "tool" I don't see a reason why women shouldn't be let in.They will simply get out in the first round The argument about physical superiority might not hold true though it sounds logical. With that argument us asians, with some exceptions (which women also would have), should not compete with athletes from other continent who are a foot taller and hundred pounds bigger than us.
