for hedonistic nepalese in america. Who here agrees with me? There are a few qualities that every girl who went to ANA and posed for ramjham.com possesses: all girls look drunk and stoned, they're all butt-ugly inside and out (one's outward appearance is a backdoor to one's soul, as my mentor used to eloquently say), and they all seem to have undergone a breast enhancement surgical procedure. These women need to learn modesty from their parents. They all seem to enjoy wearing above-the-knee skirts. Oooh, you look so American. Let me state that as a married man with two kids and four cats(skippy, tippy, lucky and flippy), I *do* not appreciate women who flaunt their sexuality in a public setting. It is completely embarrassing, and frankly, I feel that my two lovely daughters, both of whom are less than 10 years of age, and both of whom have been born in the states, should be shielded from people whose only goal in life it seems is to get drunk and flaunt their bodies and have sex with complete strangers. So I ask you this: have you no moral compass? Your parents have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to get you to America and provide you with the best education possible. Yet, you decide to blow all the money by going to ANA, and other such Nepalese conventions, which all seem to me to be a congregation of oversexed youths with no jobs, and no money in their wallets. Here is a good advice that I would like to give to you young kids: LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS. Save some money now, or else you will end up homeless with no prospect for a better future. Living like an American means putting on some weight, and subsisting on potato chips and fried chicken. You will also have no savings. You will blow all your money chasing members of the opposite sex, and going on one night stands with people you barely even know. So kids, think about your future.
I understand that there are people who have not forgotten their culture. These people deserve a standing ovation. I went to ANA convention, a couple of years ago. My friends were in a "bar" where all Nepalis were gathered. Boy, I couldn't even breathe in there with all the people smoking and what not. And everybody(boys and girls alike) was drinking some sort of alcoholic beverage. Oooh, so American. Not really. Actually, drinking and smoking like that is just the Nepali perception of how Americans act. Typical fresh off the boat thinking. Still, my advice to all you kids is this: save money for a rainy day. The only certainties in life life are death and taxes. Please grow up, or you'll only end up messing your life.
Advice from a senile man, who has been there and done that.

"........I feel that my two lovely daughters, both of whom are less than 10 years of age, and both of whom have been born in the states, should be shielded from people whose only goal in life it seems is to get drunk and flaunt their bodies and have sex with complete strangers........." HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT, AND YOU CALL YOURSELF CIVILIZED AND MORALLY AND ETHICALLY SUPERIOR, WHEN ALL YOU ARE DOING IS JUDGING PPL BY THE WAY THEY DRESS. WHAT MORE DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THEM, WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THEIR PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL LIFE, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO JUDGE A PERSON BY HOW THEY DRESS, AND IF YOU DIDNT HAVE ANY COURAGE TO SAY A WORD THERE IN ANA, DONT COME HERE IN SAJHA AND START YAPPING. WHO DID YOU SEE IN ANA, WHO WERE HAVING SEX WITH STRANGERS. GOD , MAN YOU ARE ONE SICK BASTARD. YOU SUCK.

A FEW of the pics i saw were just totally pointless. It's kinda funny because it would have been better had those girls actually walked aroud naked. kina chopya hola!!!!!this is what i'm referring to!!! the girl in the middle: http://www.ramjham.com/view_photos.cfm?photoid=FFC8726B-FBCF-454C-9B38-AB102C4A27BF&albumid=C39B3CAF-25F4-4870-AD52-78B312FED3CB&userid=6380FA10-060A-4090-9CA8-81F468A5E4E3 one more: pointless outfits. http://www.ramjham.com/view_photos.cfm?photoid=4A7850A4-F9D8-4714-8344-EEDB2FE1B285&albumid=C39B3CAF-25F4-4870-AD52-78B312FED3CB&userid=6380FA10-060A-4090-9CA8-81F468A5E4E3 now don't get me wrong....i'm not judging them.....im just saying....do us all a favour and take them off...at least it'll be easier to see what you're ACTUALLY trying to SHOW?

I am like TimeTraveller... For a moment I wanna agree with Humanitarian, but again isn't it better to do it in Public than do it "Chupke Chupke".....This sort of things happens in Kathmandu, and all around the World almost everynight...so, why only criticize what happened at ANA.............Humanitarian, watch until your girls start going to HS........Prom Nights and all that....Will wait for your comments then !

Listen to KnightCrawler and nod ya head. :D True, absolutely true. Going wild once in 365 days will not make anyone goalless, worthless, moralless, hopeless and homeless. It's the age and noone can do anything about it. It's the age for them to strut their stuffs and if they have it, they flaunt it.

yo bro!!! whaddup with ya??? why are you telling all this here?? trying to be all matured and well cultured with your big words??. well lemme tell you one thing!..smoking and drinking isnt the part of being so americans or wearing the short skirts makes them look like one. you said "i have been there and done it" isnt that lil double standerd?? afule paile sabai kam garne, ra aru kids harule same thing experiance garna napaune hyaaa tyo chai bhayena la!!!..., i think you should go back to nepal and see the same thing happening there. its just that in us or in europe these girls and guys can do the those things freely without having an eyebrow raised . ....so bro its time for you to grow up and open ur eyes!! .... like once a wiseman "me" said...Live, let live, enjoy, have fun and never hurt anyone!!!!!!!!

I am with you dude humanitarian you are absolutely right. today Nepalese people have forgotteen their culture and beliefs. Going to ANA has become a fashion for young boys and girls to show off their whatever....... Esp to inetnational students don't forget you came to the united states to study and get a better future. Don't waste this oppurtunity by parties and show offs only. get a decent degree and then life is full of happiness. Stay away from those frens who are staying in the united states with some sort of assylum, greencard or family because they don't have to pay the tuition like you do, most of the frens I know goes to college and gets financial aid on the tuition and medicaid and sometimes some sort of low income residents however they try to dress and show off as if they are millionare...... beggerssss...

The way I look at it is if dress-to-kill demoralizes your conservative values than stay away from these events; to you the values of your upbringing are far more important than socializing in these sort of events. Simple. But then these opinions are your own, as such, you should keep them to yourself. Being judgemental in a free society is synonymous to opening a can of worms. Nothing impresses ppl more than someone with good looks/brains (well for most ppl anyway). I suppose the lucidness of such brains don't bother you as much as their looks. You may say looks can be presented in a handful ways (given a proper venue and platform)- some wear binkinis to a costume party and some perhaps overalls. Most of the time there's no dress code at a costume party; in contrast, if you were at a respectable conference more than likely there will be a strict dress code. Perhaps, you'd be interested to know ANA most probably didn't have any dress code for their members and/or patrons. The ANA executive committee, of course, reserves the right to set the tone of these conventions. I do not ever compare ppl's character based on their looks; some ppl are born beautiful and some are gifted. And to disbar those who are not so lucky would be outright discrimination IMHO. The melting pot we are I say dress up like you want to, strive to be a pop star, learn ballet, do theater, create a new programming language, embrace quantum computing, enhance the GPRS satellite, run for a politcal office, volunteer at a homeless shelter, donate money to your favorite charity...and forget the 'tie me in a leash' type of mentality that older generation Nepalese have. I've never understood our culture...why dressing in a certain way should ever afflict the very meaning of our customs (especially when we live in an open society). Cheers!
