Hey Coresoul Its always pain in ass while i try to install PHP on windows machine .. So i found either install on unix and make dual boot ..or try some bundled package that comes with Apache webserver + MySQL database Server + PEAR .. I tried to install php from Php.net and tried many ways by wasting lots of hours but ended up with nothing but frustating.... So i think its better idea to use some software package for PHP. PHP Triad is a good one...but i dont know why PHP-PEAR doesnt work with that ...SO you can either try PHP TRIAD or xampp-win32-1.5.5 which you can google and find the website....I used both of them and they are prety cool and easy to work..no need to worry about installation. .. Good luck Coresoul.

PHP Triad is old and the new version is not free. The best alternative so far for Apache, PHP and MySQL package is EasyPHP. Works like a charm for me. www.easyphp.org

If you use Windows XP Professional, I would recomend installing IIS, comes in the XP-installation CD. PHP should run fine in IIS.
