Hi all, I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop and a huge problem. I basically screwed up the partition (long story, don't ask) and wiped up the partition that had the system recovery thing in it (the one where you boot and hit control and f11 at the same time). I don't have a system recovery disk, the warrenty is expired and dell people give a rat ass about those who doesn't have a warrenty. I tried to contact Dell but -- you know Dell. So I was just wondering if someone could give me some ideas on what should be done? Questions: 1. What should I do? 2. If someone has system recovery disk for Inspiron 6000 laptop, can I use it on my laptop too? 3. How to obtain System Recovery Disk from anyone, including dell? Does anyone have it? If yes, how can I get it? 4. Worse comes to worst, how can I atleast make it run? One option is Linux and I have it installed, but you know, for a window guy like me linux is "i can't touch that"... or maybe I can, but I want windows on this laptop... So, seriously Please Help Me Out. Oh yeah, please refrain from Bull$hit... Thanks

sc ji, Can u just load an XP recovery disk instead of the whole package in Dell Inspiron? If I understand the problem correctly, it seems using an XP or your OS recovery disk to start the computer and later downloading the other drivers and what not hould work. Here's a link for XP recovery: http://www.programurl.com/xp-recovery-cd-maker.htm If this doen't work, I have no other advice. adios
