Mr. Chain smoker: Thank you for your comment, that might be the way you learn English. But I wanted to bring the discussion that the sense of language is solely biological or can you improve language in a extent to native speaker despite of age, race and ethnical background. jhatauree

I was reading a newsweek few days ago about the the survival of 21 week old fetus. Survival of that small baby made the history and some people think that it was a miracle. It was written in the magagine that doctors noticed the baby was smaller than what doctors predicted and development of lung was at critical stage. Later, doctors found that there was a confusion on dates when the mother went for appointmet on 1st trimester. The featus was two weeks younger than what doctors thought and it is reported that had the doctors known featus was only 21 weeks, doctors would not have gone extra mile to save the baby because the survival of 21 weeks fetus does not exist in medical text book. Baby made the history, changed the text of medical books out of confusion. Furthermore, reason of the survival of the baby was given the gender and race, the baby was a girl and from African American family. Baby boys are more vulnerable than girls and similarly, white race are more susceptible than black. To conclude, is it what happens in this earth is because of miracle, out of confusion or/and depends upon the race and gender? jhatuaree

Yep, you need some work on writing. You should take some college classes like writing, communications, or public speaking. These skills need a lot of practice and a teacher to point out when you are making mistakes. If you are not in school now, then find out if your work is willing to pay for it.

The first step in learning any language is try and speak from the elementary words and their usages. English is no different. Speak in English whenever and wherever you can, and whomever you meet (make it a habit). Listen to the news and other media to get knowledge of the proper language usage. Try on the accent too. Don't be discouraged by what others might say about the new accent you are trying to acquire. Read magazines and newspapers, books whatever gets handy. Try making a habit of writing journal of the day's account. Try these and i am sure you will be soon speaking English fluently.

raazstone: Thank you for your encouragment. Here, I go. Reading a newsweek what I found recently was that how the docors make mistakes in making diagnosis despite of advanced technology available in USA. Sometimes doctors make decision based on their experience, their thinking pattern or based on the previous case, they have seen on that day and they might overlook the crucial evidence of progression of disease. It was given the example of little girl, who was eight years old. The little girl was complaining about the headach and their parents took the girl to the doctor. During hostory taking process, docor found out that both the parents of the girl, were career oriented and the doctors simply told that the cause of the headach was the tension at home and the tension of study in class. But, the headache continued months after months. Later, after six months what they found that the girl was suffering from brain tumor. When the doctors went back and checked the EKG, they figured that the shadow of tumor was overlooked on the first EKG, which was taken at the first visit. Therefore, it is very important to address all the question and to clear any doubts when you go to doctors office. jhatauree

Thank you Girl_interupted for taking time to make corrections. kathmandubata: Thank you for your advice. We all have heard the statement "clean up your mess". The rule of cleaning we learn in early childhood. Now, more than 30 years after the of war pulled out with Vietnam, it's time for US to clean up the environment. Certainly, recent visit of prsident Bush has enhanced the relationship between the two countries; however, people of Vietnam have not overcome the pain caused by the war. During the war, Agent Orange, a chemical was used as herbicide to defoliate the forest; and the presence of toxic chemical dioxin, residue of Agent Orange, in the environment has affected the lives of people. Vietanamese say that dioxin have caused the muscular, skeletal malfunction, mental retardation and birth defects. However, scientist have not been able to corelate effect of dioxin on human being. To live upto the value, out of decency and humanity, US embassodor of Vietnam, have collected small funds to clean up the area.
