Can anyone give suggesstion on my problem pls?

My OPT is going to expire in May 2008 (with grace period). My employer is going to file H1B in April. The problem is I have to fill the CAP GAP between June to September by extending F1 status. Now the question is do I have to submit the status document between the CAP GAP(extended i-20 ) while applying for H1B? Because I am planning to join a college or Kaplan at the end of May since my I-20 is going to expire on May 31. I heard that some college issue I-20 with the CPT .Does anybody have any idea about which college gives the CPT? I would be really thankful if you guys give me good suggesstion.

You would have to look. Catch is PVT colleges.

What I did was transferred out to a local community college for fall. My OPT is expireing in APR. If school start - OPT end = 5 months or less. Then you are in status else you lose your ststus.

My transfer out says end of april. So I can work all my OPT. Then I would be in school. For INS purposes send a copy (screen shot) with H1 fileing along with admission letter.

Ask your employer to pay you in cash during the same time.

My situation is exactly same as yours. My company is also sponsoring for me. Infact i sent all the documents to my lawyer.

Even if i get I-20 from june to september, i am thinking how am i going to tell my employer to pay in cash. I am slightly confused in this.

Subedikancha, if you find any school giving CPT at the time of enrollment please let me know?

Do you guys have to submit your I-20(new one which cover your gap period) at the time of filling  the application or you can provide the same sometime later after you got your H1B receipt?

Well I thought about that Option. CPT is for less 2-4 credits and you have been at the location to take classes. Unless you are lucky, you can’t do that either
