There is another site called www.Lovelynepal.com
Which is a pretty old site and have changed their look as well.
---also from http://www.boonex.us/
However they lack some features such as videos, and I think thats fine with them since they have most of the visitors from Nepal...They however have huge number of members.
I think this software allows to transfer the old members to the new platform.
They have about 58,000 members.
So now there are three sites that are similar-- lovelynepal.com, nepal nepal.com and sajhasansar.com
Lovelynepal being the largest interms of members followed by nepal nepal.com and sajhasansar.com
There is another one coming up soon--I guess---You can get this software for free provided that you keep their name of the company and some ads.
Surf Responsibly....

I don't think that you have to keep the company name and ads when you use the Boonex application. When you pay a fee, you can have the ads removed. I don't see any ads on sajhasansar but I see ads on lovelynepal and nepal nepal. I have worked extensively on such networking sites for different clients and I know how some easy it is to have over 50,000 members. It's nothing but a scam to make your site seem popular. You can buy softwares in order to jump start such networking sites. The software will ask you to enter a list of common male and female names. It will then ask how many members do you want to populate your site with. Then it will ask for the major ethnicity of the members. When you specify asians, it will automatically assign asian profile pictures from it's list of photos that the software agency hoards from other private sites. It will append numbers to the list of names you provide to populate your site with any numbers of users you specify. If you look at the user names in lovelynepal they all are common names with numbers like norbu_23434, krishna_67564, ramesh_24567, rani_234353. It's a nice way to bluff a clueless visitor to think that the site is a happening place. A lot of people will get fooled to join such sites. It's a bit cheesy because the number of people online is 2 or 3 only. Not sure how many days nepal nepal has been online but most of the postings seem to originate from the same person over and over again. Sajhasansar also does not seem to be too active right now but I can predict that musically inclined users from sajha will find the music and video uploads to be of some interest.

webjunkie...
So you think all the profiles with pictures on lovelynepal.com was done in a process that you mentioned?
As I remember Lovelynepal has been around for a while and I guess they migrated/integrated their old database into this new platform.
Ads that you see on nepal nepal is his own ads. and the ones you see on lovelynepal is also his ads.
I m sure you will start seeing ads on sajhasansar soon.
Anyways--

nischals I cannot guarantee that but in looking at the set up with most usernames having 4 or 5 number suffixes, I am 90% confident that they used some kind of script. There are probably some that are valid members too. Many sites like these start off well because the owners are proactive in the beginning by posting many comments under different names. Posting hot looking girls to attract visitors. But after few weeks the participation weans out and the owner gets tired of posting comments under different usernames. And the site becomes a dead site. I hope none of these sites meet that kind of end. Nepal nepal is working under the premises of points and awards. I haven't seen that done in any nepali sites so can't say how well it will work. Lovelynepal is pulling in members by cashing in on nepali mentality of following the mass by pre populating their userdatabase with 50000 users. Sajhasansar is trying to pull it's members off of sajha which has a good userbase and activity. Just noticed that sajhasansar is now using a new animated front page which looks cool but still dont' see much activity there.

Looking at the site, analyzing the site statistics and so forth, I can guarantee that most of these members are fake. If I am wrong, then this site must have been there in the 1980s which is impossible. So, logical deduction: most of the members are fake!!! However, there can be some genuine members since this site has been there for quite a few years. The problem-site owners have been unable to promote it the best way possible.
